Administration

We are looking for a bright personality to join our creative team. As administrative assistant, you will be a focal point of contact within the team and provide an excellent service within the organisation. Tasks include answering the telephone, typing, photocopying, faxing and Filing.


Befriending

A great opportunity has arisen for those who are naturally caring and sensitive and are willing to befriend adults and young adults to provide guidance and support.


Photographers

Great opportunities for those who like to experiment with a camera on a professional level. As a photographer you will be given tasks to fulfil using creativity and imagination.


Researchers

You will be encouraged to carry out primary and secondary research on relevant issues regarding positive change in family support, wellbeing and society.


Under 16s

A fantastic opportunity has arisen to be part of an exciting and vibrant team. You will be mainly involved with the website, contributing articles and generating ideas and discussions about teen issues on the URSpecial forum. The role will also require some basic administrative tasks such as filing, photocopying and answering the telephone.


Editorial Update Writers

Great opportunities for those who like to put their point across and write great features. As an editorial writer, you will be writing for the Institute of Wellbeing website and the URSpecial website on current issues relating to adults and teenagers' welfare. The role requires research and brainstorming to produce articles that the reader can relate to.


Business Development Manager / Fundraiser

As part of this role, you will be responsible for engaging corporate organisations, promoting availability of organisation's service areas, encouraging involvement in all levels of workforce and community and achieving target growth.


Graphic Designers

We are looking for a creative individual to be part of an exciting design team. Basic understanding of the web and the ability to generate ideas is a must. Working within a small team, you will be willing to complete tasks to a deadline.


Web Developers

We need volunteers that are familiar with the following: hand coding standards-compliant Javascript, (X)HTML and CSS. Site usability and information architecture. Producing sites to WAI guidelines. Cross-browser and cross-platform compatibility. Table-less design. SEO techniques. JavaScript/Cross-browser DOM scripting. Several years' experience writing functional and object-orientated coding and MVC based architecture. Database design principles.


Marketing/PR

An opportunity to work with the team in delivering marketing and communication campaigns.


Studio Engineers

Are you talented enough to have good hearing for distinguishing sound quality, a good sense of pitch, timing and rhythm, knowledge of electronics and acoustics and an overall interest in music? If so why not volunteer with us.


Models

If you fancy posing in front of the camera and being featured on our website or our promotional material then you are welcome to attend photo shoots that we run frequently. We are looking for individuals, couples and families and we will even give you a copy of some of the pictures to keep.


Tutors

We need talented, enthusiastic tutors to teach individuals singing, dancing, drama and music for our Creative Arts Schemes. These normally run in the evenings and weekends.


Therapists

If you are training as a therapist/counsellor to a BACP level and in the second year of your diploma, why not gain some work experience to enhance your skills at the Institute of Wellbeing. We also welcome massage therapists, nurses and physio-therapists.
