Now that the Christmas Season is here and at the same time has delightfully brought us some snow, it is also a time for reflection – to assess what 2009 has brought us, what we have achieved or not achieved; YET and what aspirations and hopes we have for 2010!

Shops are bustling, lights are gleaming, pantomimes are in full swing and office parties are just around the corner, sure to be full of fun, frolics and festivities – the Christmas rush is on. The nation is dashing around to get the perfect presents for friends and loved ones and of course stocking up on food and drink. After all isn’t Christmas supposed be one which involves food and drink, presents and fun?

Is listening to music relevant to wellbeing? Of course it is! Music has the ability to enrich lives in numerous ways. It can resonate and engage with the listener like no other art form and is in equal measures educational, uplifting, creative and escapist- cognitively interacting with the mind and taking the listener somewhere else. It is the missing link between science based rationalism and faith based spiritualism in that its effects are often mysterious and inexplicable. Why does that song make me feel they way I do? Why do I find that harmony melancholy?
Symptoms of Tourettes

Tics mild symptoms range from mouth twitching, shoulder shrugging, rapid eye blinking, tongue clicking or sniffing. Complex tics are jumping, twirling around, and uttering words out of context or abusive language.
Those with Tourette syndrome could have a variety of psychological problems too, such as attention deficit, hyperactivity disorder (ADHD), obsessive-compulsive disorder (OCD) and self-harm behavior.
