Cancer….but you’re only 28!

I’d been away travelling and due to unforeseen circumstances had to return home in the middle of my trip. I met one of my closest friends for a drink and instantly noticed something different.
I had only been gone six months and yet here I was staring at him realising his appearance had changed. I’ve known Anthony for about twenty years, so it wasn’t too hard to spot the difference. A mole on his cheek that had always been there had grown considerably.

Of course as England is so marvellously multi cultural, England won’t be the only team supported by the residents of our nation, and red and white won’t be the only colours hung from buildings, draped over cars or painted on faces. Communities from countries as diverse as Nigeria, France, Portugal, Spain, Holland, Uruguay, Korea, Algeria, Ghana, Japan, Italy, Poland and of course, South Africa will be taking to the streets, chanting songs and making themselves very well heard in a glorious parade of colour and noise.

As I sat at a cold White Hart Lane this weekend, watching my beloved team Spurs play out a dismal 0-0 draw with Hull City, I started to wonder why? Why was I voluntarily giving up both my precious time and valuable money to watch this? I’m sure it’s a question that has been pondered by many a football fan over the years, particularly when things don’t seem to be going well!
Interview with Donna on the Life Choices Workshop

The IOW held the first of many Life Choices workshop based in Docklands. Hosted by Mike Kelly (CEO), it proved to be a rewarding day for all and opened doors to a journey of self discovery.
It made everyone realise features about themselves; good and bad that they may need to address to be the best they want to be and to fulfil their life goals and dreams.
